Livraria ad Vila, a bookstore designed by Isay Weinfeild in a refurbished house in Sao Paulo, Brazil
This is “Clingstone”, a beautiful mansion built on a small rock in the middle of Rhode Island’s Narragansett Bay. Originally built by J.S. Lovering Wharton in 1905 and now owned by Architect Henry Wood, the house is run like a camp where all skilled workers are welcome. The 23 room house was designed with artist William Trost Richards to create a building with a series of “picture windows”, as illustrated in the photographs.
